Please reach us at Support@sproutingpathwaystherapy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The first session will be reviewing intake paperwork, exploring your reasons for starting therapy, and gathering pertinent background information. Please ask any questions you have about therapy or about working together! My goal is to get to know you and create a safe place to explore your hopes and strengths.
I currently offer only Telehealth sessions through a confidential, HIPPA compliant platform. You will receive a link to a client portal at intake and can access sessions through the link and/or portal.
Sprouting pathways does not accept insurance. We are a private pay practice and fees are due at the time of service. Private pay allows us more freedom in the therapeutic process and increased confidentiality.
I am considered an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies, which simply means that many plans will not directly cover the cost. I am, however, happy to provide a monthly receipt (often called a Superbill*) which you can submit to your provider for possible reimbursement.
*Please be mindful that not all insurance providers accept superbills, so it is important to check with them first..
Payments are made through a secure third party payment system called IvyPay. With intake information, you will receive a notification from IvyPay to input your payment information (debit, credit, HSA, FSA card) and it will be stored in their system. I will not have access to your card information. After a session (or after a no show), your card on file will be charged and you will receive notification. This streamlines payments, avoids repeatedly having to input payment information and provides a clear record of payments in a safe and secure manner.
Therapy is a fluid process and is impacted by a variety of factors. Therefore, it is difficult to predict the timeframe that services may be needed. It may be several months to assist with an acute issue/trauma or several years depending on a person’s history, the extent of trauma, available positive resources, implementation of positive coping skills in between sessions, to name a few. You are the expert on your life and your needs. We will discuss and continue to assess progress and benefits of therapy. I believe you will intuitively know when the therapeutic process has come to an end based on your inner and outer experience. This will be an ongoing conversation in sessions.
To cancel or reschedule please call 661.367.1103 or send a message in the secure messaging platform in the client portal. To avoid a late cancellation/no show fee, please notify 24 hours in advance.
“You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.”
